  • Underage Drivers

  • Most states allow people to get a driver’s license at the age of 16.
  • Some people feel that 16 is much too young for the responsibility that comes with driving a car and that teenagers should not be allowed to drive until the age of 18.
  • In your opinion, at what age should people be allowed to drive, and why?
  • Many countries do not allow underage people to get their driver’s licenses.
  • However, in countries like Canada and The United States, that prohibition does not apply, allowing adolescents to get their permission at such a young age.
    • The driver’s license comes with the responsibility of taking care of life and other duties.
    • In the worst scenario, if a young driver gets into a fatal accident, they will face the consequences in a courtroom; and their future like jobs, relationships, international trips, and many more may be disturbed due to the criminal record.
    • In my opinion, the minimum legal age should be over 18 years old because you are already an adult with obligations and a sense of how things work.
    • Laws are different around the globe, and even inside a country, the legislature is applied differently for each province, but we can not forget that life is the same anywhere.
