  • The Eurovision Song Contest 2011

    • The Eurovision Song Contest 2011 took place in Düsseldorf (Germany) Thee Town is located at the confluence of two rivers; the Rhine and the Düssel.
    • Most of the Düsseldorf lies on the right bank of the Rhine.
    • After 1957 and 1983, the third time Germany had hosted the contest was the first time after the German reunification.
    • Organized by the EBU and host ARD and NDR, the three live shows, on 10 and 12 May, and the grand final on 14 May 2011 were presented by Anke Engelke, Judith Rakers and Stefan Raab.
    • The Eurovision Song Contest 2011 winner was Azerbaijan for their first with the song Running Scared performed by Ell and Nikki.
    • Also, it was the first male-female duo to win the contest since 1963.
