    • About a girl and her family

  • Hi!
    • My name is Anna, I am 21 years old and I live with my family in a small village called Umeå in the north of Sweden.
    • At the moment I am graduating from a university, where I study a mix of social and natural science.
    • Besides my studies, I also work as a nanny for two children in the ages of 1 and 4 years old.
  • We are a family of five, or six if you want to count our dog.
    • My mother Tova works at a daycare and my father Richard works as an automation engineer.
    • I have two siblings, one younger sister called Sofia who is 12 years old and one older brother called Jonas who is 23 years old.
  • Sofia goes to school and plays football in her spare time.
  • Jonas works as an electrician and he loves to explore new things.
  • Like I wrote before, I work with children right now as a nanny for two siblings, Mia and Max.
    • I have worked with this family since January this year and I adore my job.
    • A typical day begins with me picking them up from daycare and taking them home where I cook them dinner.
    • Then it is time to play.
    • We do everything from counting flowers and insects in the garden to build a castle made of pillows and blankets.
    • Last summer, I worked as a substitute teacher at a daycare with children between the ages of 1 and 5 years old.
    • I love to work with children because they are honest and their very open minds inspire me to view the world from a different angle.
    • Previously I have also been babysitting my little sister, her friends, and their younger siblings several times.
  • My first job was as a cleaner in my grandmother’s apartment building and I still have it after 7 years.
  • Other than that, I had the opportunity to work at a retirement home alongside some talented nurses two summers ago.
  • They showed me the reality of the medical field and its importance, how one simple act can make a huge difference.
    • Through them, both the nurses and the elderly, I learned responsibility, management, and that laughter is great medicine.
    • Recently I also started a new job as a waitress and a receptionist, a job that will last over the summer.
    • Something I have learned from working in different professions is the value of being able to adapt my approach based on the situation I find myself in.
    • It is always hard to describe oneself, but I would like to believe that I am a warm, active and positive person.
    • I love to spend my free time with friends and family, and it does not really matter exactly what we do together.
    • I like to be out in the calm nature exploring as much as I like to be in a vibrating city sightseeing.
    • I also love sport, all kinds of sport, but the one that lays closest to my heart is floorball.
    • A sport that I have played for 13 years and one that has taught me to be both a team player and a good sportsman.
