I’m a mexican citizen residing in Mexico City.
I believe in the importance of being prepared not only to train bodies but also to see beyond of whats is palpable on each student to help them develop individual abilities, nurture creativity and artistic development by providing warm, positive environment to promote growth.
Current work
At the same time, I´m working a part time job as Medical Specialized Interpreter, since 2015 to the date, time where I gained experience in:
• Translating procedural information to facilitate understanding between patients and doctors.
• Explaining hospital policies and procedures to provide assistance to patients with limited English proficiency.
• Supporting clients in required medical and eligibility forms and applications including state and private Health insurance enrolments.
• Streamlined patient and physician interaction by providing channel of effective communication.
• Assessed and monitored patients, understanding of conveyed information
I love my job because it gives me the opportunity to help people breaking the language barrier.
Why I choosed the program?
I decided to expand my knowledge to other áreas that are crucial to handle in order to grow on the field of dance and sport.
The program I applied for admission at Holland College is “Sport & Recreation Management”.
I’m passionate about working in community I also love sports and such program offers a broad range of courses during two years that will help me to fullfil my opportunity areas as are:
Programming, facility management, athletic administration, sport event tourism, marketing, public relations, entrepreneurship, leadership, and program design.
As seen before, those are courses more on the administration side field which are really important for me to become profficient at as my goal is to develope capabilities to in the future be able to manage my own Arts Sport and Recreation Centre (sport, dance and fitness).
I trust I will be able to integrate these learned essencial factors, no less important, to the field of dance and sport.
Why Estudy in Canada?
I believe in the importance to aquire knowledge through a renowned educational institution because is the seedbed to develope higher skills.
My interest to study in Canada started some years a go when I sign up for the Expo “EStuDIA Canadá” held in Mexico City where we talked about different aspects of studying in Canada with the representatives there.
Moreover, it is well known that Canada is one of the countries with the highest quality in education and one of the best countries of the world to study, visit, work and live according to -Country Rep Track 2018-.
It is also important to mention that Holland College offers affordable costs and is situated in a beautiful small maritime province as it is Prince Edward Island and most of all I have read about Canadian culture, I know they are highly educated, disciplined, respectful and warm people, I would like to take the opportunity to learn and adopt the Best of their values, Therefore I would like to take advantage of this opportunity that Holland College is providing me as new student.
Once I finish my studies and come back home my profesional profile would have improved in many ways and my English skills would be better in order to achieve my goals not only on Arts and fitness and Sport field but also as Interpreter.
My Common Law Partner
I submitted also the requested paper work for my common-law partner to be able to work while I study (in case I’m granted a Study Permit).
We have been together for 26 years now and we would like to remain togheter in this new journey so we can help and support each other while I complete my studies.
