  • City buildings and services I could not live without

    • I think that the most important services in a town or a city are emergency services like police, firefighters and paramedics because when something bad happens, the time is always a key factor.
    • It is good to have big and well-equipped hospital, fire station and police station.
    • Companies providing essential building services are also very essential for everybody.
    • Water, electricity, gas and internet are standards in these days and everybody needs them.
    • Everybody also needs to get something to eat, so it is also very important to have multiple grocery stores in your town or city.
  • As people need food, vehicles need petrol, so it is good to have a petrol station near your home.
    • If I bought an apartment, there are few services, that I would want to have nearby.
  • The first one is a post office because it is very convenient to pick up packages and letters there.
  • Sometimes there is also an ATM inside, so you can withdraw cash there.
    • A drug store can be very useful because when you are sick, it can be dangerous to drive a car far away from home.
    • For leisure time I would choose from three options.
  • When the weather is good, a city park can be perfect for spending some time outside.
    • When the weather is bad or it is winter, a gym or a swimming pool can come in handy.
    • It can be useful to have some type of public transportation near your home because sometimes you need to leave your car at home.
  • These are the services, which are important to me and which I could not live without.
    • A city or a town is a good place to live also for other services, which I do not need to have just next to my home but I use them quite often.
  • For example, nightlife like cinemas, theatres, pubs and bars which can be found in the town centre.
  • There are also shopping malls, libraries, banks and other little shops and businesses.
    • A lot of different services and shops are concentrated in quite small space.
  • But there are some services, which I do not use and do not need near my apartment, like a sports stadium, a football stadium, an outdoor swimming pool, sport bars, restaurants, hairdresser’s etc. I think that it is important to choose a place for living that is compatible with your lifestyle.
  • Services make some places unique and it can be hard sometimes to live without things we are used to.
