  • Watching TV is a good way to relax.
  • You can watch anything you want: soap operas, films, cartoons, music, environmental programs, animal channels, documentaries...
    • You can easily watch the news which is only thirty minutes long.
  • But it is not good to stay too long watching TV.
    • You may suffer from visual disorders, a sedentary lifestyle, or obesity.
  • There are lots of commercials that try to convince you to spend money.
  • Moreover, some programs are violent.
    • In short, TV is a great way to relax if you know how to switch it off!
    • 2) According to you, what’s a good TVprogram?
    • I prefer reading, walking, painting, working on my English or German, or simply doing nothing (which’s quite rare).
  • However, I think that a good program on TV should allow you to relax and have a good time.
  • 3) Do you think TV should be forbidden to children under 6 years old?
    • Absolutely not, but parents have to be present to choose the right program and limit the amount of time spent in front of the tv.

  • I could live my whole life without TV.

  • I don’t watch the news on TV because it’s depressing.
    • The media shows us what they want.
    • Sometimes they speak about some actual events and change their mind the next day.
  • They are not reliable.
    • I don’t need to know the information every day.
  • I get it on the radio, in the newspaper, on the internet, or by talking to my family or friends.
  • 6) Do you sometimes watch TV in English or another language?
    • Yes, for now, while having lunch from Monday to Friday I’m watching an episode from the TV series Friends in English.
  • 7) What do you think about contest programs such as cooking programs (Top Chef), reality shows (Koh-Lanta), music shows(The Voice)?
  • All these contest programs are interesting if you are interested in cooking, singing or if you are an adventurous person.
  • I can watch this sort of program if the people on the show are clever and friendly.
