  • An important language learning interview-PLEASE check it out

  • A short client success Interview.
    • Although he lives already 3 years in Germany, Peter couldn’t speak a lot German.
    • He has also a big advantage that he works with a lot of people that are native German speakers.
    • This doesn’t count if you didn’t have a right approach to learn and also lack of time of to invest into the language previously so that you actually can use the language with those people around.
    • However, after 3 month of coaching, Peter achieved great results and now he is able to speak the language at work and also in his environment in Dusseldorf.
  • - Check out the interview for more insight about it.
    • Based on this interview, let’s take some important key points that are crucial from this interview: 1) Time is priceless: This is one of the most important one.
  • Do you really want to spend 2-3 years passively learning and still not being able to speak German?
    • When you reach this point, you will just rationalise things and not want to continue with learning German anymore because you’re going to have self guilt that you didn’t have a right approach with learning and that the things you invested was just a waste of precious time.
    • Also not to talk about constantly asking yourself questions ”Why should I learn it now after all of this time” or ”Why I didn’t do this before” etc...
    • There is even the worse case: Thinking that English is enough because all people in German speaking country can understand you could not just cause you to miss opportunities around in your professional life but also to integrate better within society, being part of the culture and make more connections.
    • 2) Method of learning - Personalised and interactive learning is the most productive learning that one could have.
    • With passive learning in the group and without using the language everything will fade away with time because the language serves you to use the language and not to study it.
  • 3) Flexible time of sessions - In time when one is busy, and has a flexible schedule at work, this is also an important point that every professional should have.
    • Not having time to prepare and having a fixed schedule with classes could just cause you to attend classes unprepared but also to skip and miss a lot of important stuff in a in a long term learning.
  • 4) Accountability - Being accountable by a professional so that you can stay on track and have someone there to help you on certain problems you personally have.
    • Being left by yourself and not having someone to push you will decrease you efficiency in learning.
    • As Peter says in the interview, there are a lot of promises out there and people are sceptical no matter what business you work on but that also is not an excuse for you to justify your laziness and don’t do the things even though you’ve seen that other people have already done it successfully.
