Today is my big day, do you want to know why?

Today I got a promotion in my work.

I know that I deserve it because I have worked really hard to improve my professional skills, and exploiting each opportunity that is going to give me the knowledge and experience which I need in the field.

I remember one day, one of my friends told me that I am hard on myself and I should focus on enjoying life and not giving too much attention to work since we get is less than what we give and they do not appreciate our efforts so there is no need to burnout ourselves for nothing.

However, I realized that hard work, consistency, and persistence combined with a positive view of the future and life are the main cornerstones to develop in the work and be a successful person not only in workplaces but in life in general.

Nonetheless, that does not mean that there are no obstacles and difficulties on the way, but those challenges are going to make us stronger and more developed especially if we learn how to deal with them in a good way.
