• But for people living in countries plagued by ”neglected diseases” this question have a particular impact, because many diseases don’t receive such attention.

• The choise of where investment goes has appeared to be binary.

• The question has been which diseases get prioritised?

• An obvious response is required to a diseases, such as Covid-19, that has a high mortality.

• Covid-19 vaccines have been produced with unprecedented speed, because the research is attracting large investiment.

• It seems that as a global community, we are not really invested in pandemic preparedness.
