The Ministry of Health has played a major role in addressing the Corona pandemic and reducing the spread of the epidemic to reduce the number of infections and it has held several meetings and decisions for this pandemic, most notably: 1- Such as avoiding family visits, wearing muzzlein public places, maintaining physical distance at least two meters, keeping cleaning hands with soap or using sanitation, avoiding touching the face, nose, mouth, and eyes because touching is a method of transmission of the virus, not leaving homes except for necessity, following healthy habits when sneezing and coughing, and full adherence to sanitary isolation (home quarantine) in case of symptoms of the disease or contact with the affected.2-It has equipped hospitals and emergency intensive care units in addition to the opening of a field hospital dedicated to patients of Coronavirus and sterilized the streets and gathering places to reduce its spread.

3-It has carried out a ban between the provinces and in some areas where the virus has spread significantly, as well as all this for the safety of the citizen and to reduce the spread of the virus.

It also stopped some activities and shops that may increase the likelihood of the spread of hives such as mosques and schools, gyms, barbershops, beauty shops, restaurants, and cinema.

4-The Omani Ministry of Health has carried out free checks for all citizens and expatriates who may be opposed to the infection of coronavirus and provide them with isolated homes and also carried out field checks for highly affected areas such as The State of Matrah.

The efforts of the Omani Ministry of Health have not declined and follow up well the cases and indicators of increase and decrease of cases.

5-But before all these roles, the Ministry of Health formed work teams in all governorates of the country to ensure the readiness of private health institutions located within the scope of each governorate and training workshops were held and they also intensified evaluation visits by the central team and evaluation teams in the departments of private health institutions.

This is also to ensure the readiness of hospitals and their commitment to legal procedures to address the pandemic.

We also do not forget, as they have made a schedule to provide volunteer doctors from private hospitals to work in the center, as well as constant communication with the epidemiological investigation team to discuss and know opinions, ideas, and difficulties between work teams and to develop appropriate plans and solutions to prevent the spread of infection and raise the level of healthcare in all private institutions and sectors.

The efforts of the World Health Organization and the Omani Ministry of Health will not cease to address the Coronavirus and find the most appropriate solution to eliminate it.

Also, private sector hospitals’ initiatives will not stop during the pandemic period, as everyone seeks a common goal, which is to reduce the number of infections, limit the spread of the virus, and preserve the health of the individual.
