A local airport has a number of stakeholders who might be directly affected by the decisions that the airport’s managers and owners make.

For example, due to the airport’s fault, there may be delays in departures of cargo and passenger airlines (uncoordinated work of refuellers, loaders, or security services).

If such incidents do occur, the airports try to deal with the unpleasant incidents and provide benefits for the passengers of these airlines, such as coupons for discounts in cafes and shops inside the airport.

For any airline, such incidents cost money and reputation, and if this happens too often and there are other airports in the city, then the airline can simply relocate.

If airlines leave this airport, passenger traffic will decrease.

If there are fewer passengers, then cafes and shops at the airport may start operating at a loss.

If this continues for a long time, they will simply close their shops and cafes and then the airport will lose profits from the lease of space.

Usually, they are provided with transportation to their place of work from the company or the airport covers all the costs of public transportation.

Airports often have special agreements with city transport companies for benefits for their employees.

If it is difficult for employees to get to and from work, they will simply find another job.

As a rule, a person sitting at the check-in counter, a security check employee, a duty-free seller, or people who place passengers’ luggage should not have any very narrowly specialized skills and most likely it will not be difficult for them to find a job in the city.

A high rate of work turnover will probably cost much more money for the airport than to set up convenient transportation for employees ones.

Passengers are also stakeholders and there are many more of them.

Airports take care of their passengers by organizing the territory as conveniently as possible so that people do not have to carry heavy loads for too long.

If the airport is large, then there are travelators, elevators, employees helping people with limited mobility.

If some people are dissatisfied with the airport service, and they decide that they will never use its services again, this will not change much for the airport.

There will be new passengers who are flying for the first time or for whom this airport is closer, or only from this airport an airline flies with which they have a loyalty card.
