  • The Virtual Study Room is a great place to learn from other language students like you, help them study, and make new friends.
  • It's just like a real study room: You can stand up and text chat with the other people in the room, or sit at a table for more specific talks.
  • When you 'join' a table, additional tools become available: A whiteboard and a text editor on which everyone at the table can draw and type, or even paste pictures.
  • It's a great way to share valuable tips and language resources, or to collaborate on written exercises.
    • But the real beauty of StudyRoom is audio chat.
    • You can talk over the microphone to have your pronunciation checked by native speakers who may be at the table with you, or just to have some casual audio chat to practice a language, and make new friends.
  • If you have a webcam and feel comfortable turning it on, you will enhance the connection with your peers, giving them a feeling of trust and empathy.
  • Basically, everybody who can actually see you will want to be your friend.
