  • Parisian spring of Rinat Animaev (a text for exhibition)

    • The exhibition presents more than a hundred new works painted by the artist in 2017, specially for the showcase in Kazan.
    • Since 1989 Rinat Animaev lives and works in France.
  • He is a member of the Artists’ Union of France and one of the ten best French artists of our time.
  • Rinat Animaev was born on March 24, 1955 into a large Tatar family in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
  • His father Mansur Iskhakovich Animaev was an artist.
    • He was the one who gave the first drawing lessons to his offspring.
  • Since childhood the smell of paint has been a part of Rinat Animaev’s life.
    • He still remembers the pieces of advice his father gave to him and his sister.
  • When he was ten Rinat Animaev went to an art school.
    • After graduating from it, he entered the Dushanbe art college.
  • There his teachers were prof. M. Beknazarov, S.
  • Kurbanov and A. Besperstov.
  • From 1978 to 1984 he studied at the Moscow State Art Institute named after V. I. Surikov.
  • Here, he learned a lot from prof. V. E. Artamonov, D. K.
  • Mochalsky and G. Korolev.
  • In 1986 he joined the Artists' Union of the USSR.
  • Rinat Animaev works in different genres, he paints portraits, landscapes and still lifes.
  • He is skilled in different graphic and painting techniques.
  • At different times, Rudolf Nuriev, Lev Gumilev, Lyudmila Gurchenko and many other famous people posed for him.
  • He painted Vladimir Vysotsky on Taganka in Moscow, met with the poet Ravil Bukharaev.
    • Most of the works of Rinat Animaev are sketches and pictures painted from life or plein air in France.
  • He turns to familiar, simple motives, revealing their true beauty to the audience.
  • His aesthetic ideals, professional honesty, virtuosity, colorful textures and plasticity of his strokes characterize him as a fine artist of the Moscow school of painting.
  • The master often presents his works in the exhibition hall on Montmartre, as well as in different galleries and salons.
  • Rinat Animaev is also a participant of Moscow, all-Union, all-Russian and foreign exhibitions.
  • He is a member of the Association of Painters of the Moscow Union of Artists.
    • His works are presented in museums and private collections of Russia, North America, Europe and Japan.
  • The exhibition is open until May 31.
