I study
At the University I study the philosophy of mind and in particular the hard problem of consciousness.
The hard problem of consciousness was first formulated by contemporary American philosopher David Chalmers.
The problem lies in the fact that today we know almost nothing about the cause of the existence of subject’s internal conscious states.
Also, we do not understand the nature of connection between private experiences (qualia) and the material world.
I can not agree with the idea that subjective experiences have an epiphenomenal nature and have no effect on our behavior.
Therefore, in my research I am trying to discover the function of qualia.
