  • In response to the constant criticism that the educational system receives, many nations around the world are reforming their public education.
  • They’re doing it based on two main reasons: economic and cultural.
  • However, the standardized test used to measure the level of student learning is outside of the reform proposals.
    • Since the current educational system was designed, conceived and structured for a different era we can intuit that updating the subjects without updating the system is to spread out the problem over time.
  • We continue alienating millions of children to satisfy a structure, the system as we know it: “teaches pupils to accept that society is hierarchical and that they have an officially recognized place on that social ladder.”
