  • Could you please help me with the grammar of this text? :)

    • Fossil fuels are used by human being to produce energy and they are for example coal, oil and natural gas.
    • As our world grew in the XIX century, the demand for fuels continued to increase, after having discovered how much they could be used to improve our lives, but now we have to face new concerning outlooks.
    • Fossil fuels were formed thousands of milions of years ago from the transformation of plants in the forests, as in the case of coal, or from decomposition of organisms in the seabed of the oceans, later covered by clay and sand, hence the peat that is going to form oil and natural gas, which in fact often lay together when discovered.
    • 70% of the energy we use these days is produced from fossil fuels, but we are now starting to perceive that these are really pollutant sources for the planet; in order to prduce energy these materials are burnt and as a result, we have large amounts of carbon dioxide reaching the atmosphere causing the greenhouse effect and global warming.
    • Moreover a lot of times we polluted the environment as the ships roared out their cargoes , dumping the oil into the sea.

    • On the other hand in the last decade new objectives are trying to be catched up: for example engineers are trying to design new machines able to consume less oil in order to save it and evereybody is trying to increase their efforts to find alternatives, such as renewable energy sources or the adoptions of sustainabe habits. but an objection to this is that often these machines are very expensive and not always feasible.
    • To sum up, i think that something is going to change.
  • Nevertheless it will take a lot of time before being able to transform ways of doing well rooted in the life of a human being by now. Thanks!!
