    • The festival feature village youth holding knives and disguised with large masks and straw rain costs, in order to resemble a deity that looks like a demon.
    • This festival`s purpose is to warn people who are lazy, as well as bad – behaved children.
    • It originated from the belief that a deity brining good fortune visits this village.
    • The Namahade deities are offered sake and rice cakes upon their visits to the households, and in return they promise the family good health.
