I suppose that in many cases it is vitally important for a teacher to take part in such activities.

Teaching is never limited by the classroom walls.

It means that the teacher should engage himself into activities where he can work closely with his students in order to get to know them, their behavior and learning styles and intelligences.

It all very useful information and it comes to the point when a teacher works on raising up the motivation.

There are also a lot of activities that a teacher can guide: for example, preparation for different celebrations, reading clubs, or additional lessons with achievers.

Anyway, all these activities are especially important for entry-level teacher who are interested in gaining experience as soon and as much as possible.

Another type of activity where, in my opinion, a teacher should regularly take part is a meeting with the parents.

Parents usually have a crucial influence on their infants and that is why it is important to meet with parents and explain them the importance of external motivation and the ways how they can encourage their children to learn foreign language.
