Appalled by the (…) of the Second World War, the United Nations General Assembly (…) the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948.

While not legally binding, it (…) member nations to (…) a number of human, civil, economic and social rights, asserting these rights are part of the "foundation of freedom, (…) and peace in the world".
