  • Downfall teenagers

  • Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing in response to the article you wrote last Saturday titled ‘Downfall teens’.
  • I must state that it was not pleasant at all reading it.
  • Indeed, I remained astonished (in the negative sense) when I read through such strong and accusative claims.
  • I strongly believe that you went overboard when adjectiving the behavior of our local high-school students in the evening when they get out of school.
  • Although I found too much of an offensive attitude in this piece of writing aimed to local students, you were right at some points.
  • On the one hand, it is absolutely true that, as you say in the article, we face dirty streets every Saturday morning because half of the teenagers living here in Bluecreecks decide to drink some alcohol on Friday nights.
  • On top of that, it’s also fair to day that there has been an increase of nocturn altercates lately.
  • These include public goods destruction and vandalism — such as illegal wall painting.
  • On the other hand, nevertheless, the other half of the students were studying at home, spending the evening with their families or going out with friends all doing legal and non-disturbing activities.
  • You never did mention that.
  • Thus, I think you were unfair writing only about one kind of teenagers’ behaviour.
  • All in all, I feel as though you should try to specify more on who you are going to write about rather than creating and using a sole archetype.
  • If you could take this piece of advice into consideration readers would find again your articles trustworthy.
  • Best Regards, DMC
