- The content of the book is amazingly inspiring by its simplicity and wisdom was after all translated into 56 languages.
- The novel discusses about a shepherd boy, from Andalusia whose name is Santiago. .
- He is gasping for discovering the world and its treasures .Therefore, he decides to make a journey to the Egyptian dessert in order to find a treasure buried in the Pyramids.
- Most of the chapters are devoted to the main plot in which the main character comes up against various, interesting people during his exciting travel.
- Attention is also paid to the encounter with an elderly person – the Alchemist.
- The Chapter 4 focuses on the meeting with the lone Alchemist who explicates him what the most greatest treasure in our lives is – find where your heart belongs (…).He emphasizes also that people want to find only the treasure of their Personal Legends but not the Personal Legend itself.
