  • What names would you give your children?

  • Giving your children a name can be a very difficult task and even a subject of discussion for parents.
  • There are thousands of names and parents have to choose between them the one they think that would fit better with their child.
    • A lot of criterios can determine our decision.
  • In my case, for example, I like some Basque names such as Nerea or Ainara because I really like the way they sound.
  • I love names taken from Greek mythology like Ariana, Perseo or Thalia.
  • These names are not very common and they involve incredible myths that my children could relate if anyone ask them for the origin of their name.
  • Literature can be other source of inspiration.
  • Annabeth and Callie are the names of two of my favourite literary characters, because they are independent and daring, so their names have a special significance for me.
  • There are some families which have the tradition of naming the children like their parents or grandparents, but I would never call my children with the same name of my relatives.
  • I prefer that each member of a family has an original and different name.
