The production of chocolate
- Chocolate, something we are all familiar with due to its popularity and magnitude.
- The essence of chocolate is of course cocoa beans.
- Cocoa beans are harvested along the equator, but the bulk is grown in Western Africa.
- It is commonly known, that it is merely a fraction of the compiled cocoa beans in the world, which are produced and traded fairly considering the farmers’ conditions.
- Thousands of people are working under circumstances beyond the pale, yet their situation still leave them with no other choice.
- This is probably one of the biggest reasons why such “chains of production” appear so clearly in the international society today.
