  • Will magazines and the radio die out?

  • No one can deny that the Internet has become an essential part of the daily routine of many people.
    • Because of that, some people think that in the future there will be not such things as newspapers and magazines.
  • I disagree with this opinion and in this essay I am going to give reasons why this is.
    • Nowadays, people's lives are saturated with free information provided by the Internet.
  • Some people use it all the time during their working, commuting and leisure time.
  • However, it has not always been the same in the past.
  • For instance, a century ago people had access to information provided by books, newspapers, magazines, the radio, the cinema and lots of other transmitters of events and knowledge.
  • When the TV age arrived, some people began to believe that it would replace print media, cinema and the radio.
  • Nevertheless, at the beginning of the millennium it became obvious that those media, which were from the previous century, still exist.
  • For instance, radio, newspapers and other old fashioned sources of information still existed.
  • At the present time the situation is similar except that print media is slowly reducing.
  • However, there are still newspapers and magazines.
  • For example, old fashioned sources of information have changed their form, so anyone can easily read news on the Internet and even download it to their portable devices from iTunes, Google Play etc. To conclude, in my opinion, newspapers and magazines will exist in the future but there will certainly be different forms of carriers of this kind of information.
