  • Growing up

  • The doctor who was treating me for a sprained wrist told me to be more careful next time.
    • It was the second time in a year it happened that to me.
    • I was very angry at myself for all the bothering that sprained would cause me.
    • On top of that the summer was coming.
    • I could already see all my friends playing around and swimming while I would be watching them doing it.
  • The only thing I would be allowed to do was sunbathing (which I hate) or chatting to girls (which I found terribly boring at that time).
    • As a teenager I wasn’t keen on holidays as they would only make things worse to me.
    • I could stand not being able to play footfall or basket, but I knew in summer it would be different.
  • However, when summer finally came, my life changed forever.
    • While I was watching my friends playing on the beach, a girl came up to me and we started chatting.
  • To my surprise, I found myself enjoying a lot the conversation and soon I would forget about my friends and their football match.
    • I only wanted to be with that girl who was showing me a new world or a new way of contemplating the same world, I don't know.
    • That girl would become my first girlfriend and I’m very grateful to her for helping to grow up emotionally.
