  • Movies

  • I've just finished watching Dallas Buyers Club.
    • These past few weeks I've been watching the movies which received either an Oscar or a nomination on this year's Academy Awards.
  • This has been a habit of mine for a few years.
    • During the summer of 2009 I didn't have much to do so I went through the IMDB top 250 list and watched every movie that was made after 1990.
    • Then I was out of movies and went through the Oscars of the last two decades and watched all the movies which had gotten several nominations (best costume and awards like that didn't count).
    • I would call myself a cinephile if it wasn't for one huge flaw of mine: I simply can't watch movies which were made before the nineties.
  • I made only a few exceptions for really influential movies like the Godfather and the Taxi Driver.
    • Nowadays I find myself fidgety even when I watch nineties movies.
    • They seem to go so slowly, plus the fashion and the make up of this decade depresses me.
