    • How do understand education?
  • Education is a social activity with direct aim of nurturing people.
  • School education plays an important role in people’s development.
    • Also education is part of a society, having effects on economy, policy and culture.
    • Meanwhile, eduction is influenced and limited by the laws of people’s development and other social system.
    • So education has objective laws inside which should be obeyed and discovered.
    • The purpose of education is the core of education, which is the direction of all activities and the evolution standard of feedbacks.
    • Then according to the purpose of education, courses would be set down and teaching would be implemented.
    • The interaction of teachers and students decides to what extent the purpose of education be realized.
    • These requires teachers should have some features, such as professionalism, morality and qualification of teaching.
  • In my opinion, teachers should nurture children and themselves throughout their career.
  • In my opinion, respecting children and reflecting on themselves regularly are important for being a teacher.
  • Teachers who have this attitude would make an effort to learn and make progress throughout their career.
    • Because i will be working or volunteering in some organizations when studying in hk, so i think it would be a challenge for me to balance both of them, but i really want to have a try.
    • For the first question, because having a class does not always follow a plan step by step, for example sometimes i would be asked questions out of my imaging.
    • So how to handle a class in a flexible way is a challenge.
    • However, do not forget the aim of a class and have a good understanding of every child,it would help me to do it better.
    • For the second question, I think the most important thing in education is the development of children’s characters.
    • In the past decade especially recent years, many surveys found out that the cital thing links to children’s success is not knowledge and skills, but noncognitive, or generally speaking characters, such as grit, self-discipline, curiosity and confidence.
    • I used to think of teaching as a stable career, one without very many challenges.
    • But i always be told by friends and parent that can be a good teacher.
    • So i thought deeply, analysis my abilities and personalities.
    • After plenty of extracurricular reading, teacher’s qualification training and participating in practical teaching, I now consider teaching as one of the most creative careers, because the main objective is teaching children who are unique and change from day to day.
    • Also I realized that i can reach my full potential and gain personal satisfaction from teaching.
    • To be honest, though my university major seem as a departure for education, because i can play piano and guzheng,in summer and winter holidays, i was working as part-time assistant teacher in musical training center.
    • In early childhood education, i quite agree with Montessori’s idea of education.
    • The core of her theory is the idea of children that their development is not the result of education but self construction, because children have objective laws inside.
    • If we provide them with an appropriate surroundings, they and learn by themselves, in which they also reap a great satisfaction and some important characters.
    • Then in terms of psychology of children,we should paid attention to early childhood experience, because bad experience would make children’s HPA be under overloaded pressure for long period, even though the experience has gone.
    • This physiological reaction is harmful to their physical and psychological development.
