As in most languages - inflection of verbs.
For example:
I AM waiting for you - Я ЧАКАЮ цябе (right now)
I WILL BE waiting for you - Я БУДУ ЧАКАЦЬ цябе (for example tomorrow)

Three variants of the verb: past - present - future
чакаў - чакаю - буду чакаць

Sometimes there is a difference depending on gender:
(in our case for the past)
He - чакаў
She - чакала
