Welcome to the Budapest Language Exchange Meetup. Join us for an evening of language practice and making new friends!

Grab a drink at the bar and head upstairs to join the fun.

If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to send me a private message.

  • Come and practice your English or any other language with real people, not language teachers. All skill levels are welcome.
  • Meet native speakers, expats, and locals from different countries in a friendly and enjoyable environment.
  • This event aims to help you become more confident in using a foreign language in real-life situations, while also giving you the opportunity to meet new people and reconnect with old friends in Budapest.

Join us to practice the language you're learning and help others learn yours. This is a fantastic after-work opportunity to socialize and converse in English, Hungarian, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Russian, and many other languages.

Our events are free and will always be free. However, please RSVP and support the venue by purchasing at least one drink.

📍 How to Find Us
Once you RSVP, you'll find detailed directions on how to find us below the "event location" section.

  • On a computer, it's on the right-hand side of the page.
  • On a mobile device, it's at the top of the page.
  • On the mobile app, scroll near the bottom to the "Location" section.

Please pay close attention to this section, as the exact location within the venue may change depending on weather conditions or other factors.

📝 Agenda
To ensure effective communication, I'll provide name tags where you can write your name, native language(s), and the language(s) you want to practice.

We'll divide into small groups to give everyone a chance to practice their desired language. Feel free to switch between groups, and I'll occasionally mix them up as well.

🎟️ RSVP
If you plan to attend, please RSVP (even if you're a regular attendee). If you can't make it, kindly update your RSVP to "Not Going".

These simple steps help me:

  • ensure we have enough welcome drinks for specific events,
  • make sure we have enough space to accommodate everyone interested in attending.

⛔ Rules

  • Please be respectful to everyone and keep the atmosphere fun and friendly.
  • Any inappropriate behavior, solicitation, or making others uncomfortable will result in removal and being barred from future events.

If you witness any inappropriate behavior, please report it to John so immediate action can be taken.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and participation.
