Join internationally acclaimed stand-up comedian Dharmander Singh as he embarks on a comedic exploration of his identity, heritage, and nationality through a series of humorous anecdotes and reflections. Discover the challenges of being named after a Bollywood icon, growing up in 1980s Birmingham, and the unique experience of being a sun-kissed Brummie now residing in Berlin.

About Dharmander Singh

Born in Birmingham in the mid-1970s as a first-generation British Asian, Dharmander Singh started his journey in theatre at a young age and transitioned to stand-up comedy in his late twenties. He formerly managed the Birmingham comedy venue “Custard Balti” and in 2008, he made an early "Brexit" move to Germany. Now based in Berlin, Dharmander has been delighting audiences as a compere and solo performer for over 15 years, with shows spanning from Amman to Zurich. He has opened for notable comedians such as Ardal O’Hanlon, Judah Friedlander, Steve-O, and has shared the stage with Jeff Ross.

Dharmander has been featured multiple times on BBC Radio and is known for his role in the Scottish BAFTA-winning film “Crying with Laughter.”
