Cocktail Tasting and Making Workshop

PET's new and existing members have expressed a strong desire to participate in cocktail-related courses to gain a comprehensive understanding of cocktails. However, such courses are limited and expensive, which is unnecessary for those who simply want to expand their knowledge and enhance their lifestyle, without becoming professional bartenders. That's why we have created PET's unique cocktail workshop. Led by Simon, a tech industry professional with a passion for mixology, this workshop offers the most informative, practical, and cost-effective cocktail tasting and making experience in the city. In just 9 hours, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of cocktail knowledge and culture, and under the guidance of our instructor, you will personally create several classic cocktails. Transform yourself from a complete novice to a knowledgeable and skilled mixologist, and shine as the star when you bring your friends to the bar. If you're interested, you can even follow in Simon's footsteps and create your own home bar/cocktail parties, becoming the life of the party with your interesting and well-crafted cocktails.

Workshop 1: Cocktail Culture and Tasting

What you will learn:

The history, present, and future of cocktails, understanding the cocktail culture
How to evaluate a cocktail
Get to know the bar workstation, familiarize yourself with bar tools, practice basic bartending techniques
Learn to make Gin & Tonic, Mojito, Whiskey Sour
Introduce yourself and share memories of your first cocktail

Workshop 2: Cocktail Classification and Social Etiquette

What you will learn:

Learn about the six base spirits and various cocktail types
Practice mixing, stirring, shaking, and cutting techniques
Learn to make Tequila Sunrise, Negroni, Gin Fizz
Introduction to social etiquette at cocktail events

Workshop 3: Advanced Mixology and Cocktail Parties

What you will learn:

Learn about wine, liqueurs, beer, and their role in cocktails
How to host a cocktail party at home
Create your own signature cocktail
Learn to make Aperol Spritz, Martini, Cosmopolitan
Free discussion among participants, sharing their understanding of cocktails after three weeks of learning

Versatile Mixologist Certification Exam: Written Test + Mixology
