Cocktail Tasting and Making Workshop

PET's friends have expressed a strong desire to attend cocktail-related courses to gain comprehensive knowledge of cocktails. However, such courses are scarce and expensive, making it unnecessary to spend thousands of dollars to become a professional mixologist for those who simply wish to expand their knowledge and enhance their lifestyle. That's why we have designed a unique and cost-effective cocktail workshop at PET. Presented by Simon, an IT guru with an artistic spirit and professional expertise, this workshop offers the most insightful and practical cocktail tasting and making experience in Beijing. In just 9 hours, you will gain comprehensive knowledge of cocktail culture, learn to make classic cocktails under the guidance of the instructor, and transform from a novice to a versatile mixologist who can delight friends at bars. If you're up for it, you can even start your own home bar or host cocktail parties that are fun and full of surprises.

Workshop 1: Cocktail Culture and Tasting

What you will learn:

The past, present, and future of cocktails, understanding cocktail culture
How to evaluate a cocktail
Introduction to bar stations and cocktail tools, practice basic mixing techniques
How to make a Gin & Tonic, Mojito, Whiskey Sour
Self-introduction and sharing memories of your first cocktail

Workshop 2: Cocktail Classification and Social Etiquette

What you will learn:

Introduction to six base spirits and various types of cocktails
Practice blending, stirring, shaking, and cutting techniques
How to make a Tequila Sunrise, Negroni, Gin Fizz
Guidelines for social etiquette at cocktail events

Workshop 3: Advanced Mixology and Cocktail Parties

Understanding the role of wine, liqueurs, and beer in cocktails
How to host a cocktail party at home
Creating your own signature cocktail

Versatile Mixologist Certification Exam: Written and Practical

Simon / The Artistic and Versatile IT Guru
Simon is a typical versatile individual who has thrived in a well-known multinational company for over a decade, establishing himself as an IT guru. He enjoys running and has completed nine 100-kilometer races. He is also an avid film lover, watching at least 100 movies a year and writing thoughtful reviews. Simon's passion for mixology led him to become a certified mixologist after rigorous study and practice. He has set up his own private bar at home, where he treats himself to a well-crafted cocktail after work and frequently invites friends for an enjoyable evening.
