The art of serving and creating cocktails has evolved beyond basic social skills and has become a way to enjoy a wonderful evening and share your personal taste in life.

However, with the multitude of cocktail variations and techniques, it's hard to discover the secrets without proper guidance. That's where our Cocktail Tasting and Mixology Workshop comes in.

PET's community has expressed great interest in cocktail-related courses that provide a comprehensive understanding of cocktails without the high costs associated with professional mixology training. That's why we've designed this workshop specifically for enthusiasts who want to expand their knowledge, enhance their social experiences, and become versatile mixologists without pursuing it as a full-time career. Led by Simon, an IT professional with a passion for mixology and a knack for teaching, this workshop offers the most informative, hands-on, and cost-effective cocktail tasting and mixology experience in the city. In just 9 hours, you'll gain a thorough understanding of cocktail culture and knowledge, and under Simon's guidance, you'll create several classic cocktails. From being a novice to becoming a skilled cocktail enthusiast who can both appreciate and create drinks, you'll shine as the star of any bar outing with friends. And if you're up for it, you can follow in Simon's footsteps and set up your own home bar or cocktail party, becoming the life of every gathering with interesting and expertly crafted drinks.

Workshop 1: Cocktail Culture and Tasting

What you'll learn:

- The past, present, and future of cocktails, exploring the cultural aspects
- How to evaluate a cocktail
- Understanding the bar workstation and cocktail tools, practicing basic mixology techniques
- Making Gin & Tonic, Mojito, Whiskey Sour
- Introducing yourself and sharing memories of your first cocktail

Workshop 2: Cocktail Classification and Social Etiquette

What you'll learn:

- Learning about the six main base spirits and the various types of cocktails
- Practicing techniques such as muddling, stirring, shaking, and straining
- Making Tequila Sunrise, Negroni, Gin Fizz
- Introducing social etiquette for cocktail events

Workshop 3: Advanced Mixology and Cocktail Parties

What you'll learn:

- Understanding wine, liqueurs, beer, and their roles in cocktails
- How to host a cocktail party at home
- Creating your own signature cocktail
- Making Aperol Spritz, Martini, Cosmopolitan
- Free discussion among participants, sharing insights gained over the past three weeks

Slash Mixologist Certification Exam (Written and Practical)

What you'll gain:

- Official PET certification as a Slash Mixologist
- Opportunities to intern as a mixologist at PET parties and attend cocktail social events, expanding your network and broadening your horizons
- The chance to offer free or paid mixology services to friends and others

Simon is a prime example of a slash enthusiast. He has spent over a decade in a renowned tech company, earning the title of an IT guru. When he's not conquering the IT world, he's conquering personal challenges like completing nine 100km runs. Simon's love for movies is evident in his goal of watching at least 100 films a year and writing thoughtful reviews. And of course, his passion for mixology led him to become a certified mixologist, transforming his home into a private bar where he treats himself to a well-crafted drink after work. He also frequently invites friends for memorable nights of socializing and cocktail experimentation.
