Join us for the PET Reading Club, where we share our love for books and connect with interesting individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Selected Books

Discover new perspectives with our selected books:

• A History of Western Philosophy, Catholic Philosophy by Bertrand Russell (西方哲学史 天主教哲学)
• A Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir (第二性)
• The Psychology of Money Timeless lessons on wealth, greed, and happiness by Morgan Hou (金钱心理学)

Each week, we delve into 1 to 3 chapters of the recommended books according to our agenda.

However, you are not obliged to read our recommended books. Feel free to share the books you are currently reading and make new friends.

Schedule

Join us on Sun, Oct 1, 2023, from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM for:

• 15:30-16:00: Prepare your sharing (准备你的分享内容)
• 16:00-16:30: Introduction (自我介绍)
• 16:30-19:00: Book sharing and discussion (分享与讨论)

Attention

To secure your spot, please sign up in advance or pay an extra ¥30 as a walk-in participant. The event will only proceed if the number of participants reaches at least 1/3 of the expected attendance.

Host

Meet our host, Edward Chen, a project management engineer who is passionate about exploring new things and making funny friends. He is an amateur marathon runner with a goal to travel the world by participating in marathon races. Edward is also a bookworm, particularly interested in philosophy, history, and any books that challenge conventional thinking.
