Cocktail Tasting and Making Workshop

PET's new and existing friends have expressed great interest in attending cocktail-related classes to gain a comprehensive understanding of cocktails. However, such courses are often scarce and expensive, making it unnecessary for those who simply want to expand their knowledge and enhance their lifestyle instead of becoming professional mixologists. That's why we have created PET's unique cocktail workshops. Led by the artistic and knowledgeable IT guru, Simon, this workshop offers the most informative, practical, and cost-effective cocktail tasting and making experience in Beijing. In just 9 hours, you will gain in-depth knowledge and cultural insights into cocktails, and under Simon's guidance, you will have the opportunity to craft several classic cocktails. Transform yourself from a novice to a skilled cocktail enthusiast who can impress your friends at any bar. If you wish, you can even follow in Simon's footsteps and create your own home bar or cocktail parties, becoming the life of the party with interesting and delicious cocktails.

Workshop 1: Cocktail Culture and Tasting

What you will learn:

The past, present, and future of cocktails, understanding cocktail culture
How to evaluate a cocktail
Get to know the bar counter and cocktail tools, practice basic mixology techniques
Learn to make Gin & Tonic, Mojito, Whiskey Sour
Introduce yourself and share memories of your first cocktail

Workshop 2: Cocktail Classification and Social Etiquette

What you will learn:

Learn about the six base spirits and various cocktail types
Practice techniques such as stirring, shaking, and straining
Learn to make Tequila Sunrise, Negroni, Gin Fizz
Introduction to social etiquette at cocktail events

Workshop 3: Advanced Mixology and Cocktail Parties

What you will learn:

Learn about wine, liqueurs, beer, and their roles in cocktails
How to host a cocktail party at home
Create your own signature cocktail
Learn to make Aperol Spritz, Martini, Cosmopolitan

Certification Exam: Written Test + Mixology

Simon is the epitome of a slasher youth. He has worked in a well-known tech company for over a decade, becoming an IT guru. He loves running and has completed nine 100-kilometer races. He also has a deep passion for movies, watching at least 100 films per year and writing thoughtful reviews. Simon's interest in mixology led him to become a certified mixologist, and he has even set up a private bar at home, treating himself to a well-crafted cocktail after work and frequently inviting friends for ladder-climbing sessions.
