Welcome to the Beijing Happy Chinese Corner! Join us for an exciting event where Chinese and foreign friends come together to engage in lively discussions and make lasting connections.

This event is open to both Chinese friends who want to interact with friendly and interesting foreigners who speak Chinese, as well as foreign friends who are learning Chinese and want to meet new people while practicing their language skills.

We meet once a week at a local café for a two-hour activity. The first hour is dedicated to "self introductions" in Chinese, followed by a group reading session of a short and interesting Chinese article (from https://www.slow-chinese.com/), with participants taking turns to read aloud and translate the content into English. This provides a great opportunity to practice both English and Chinese. The second hour is reserved for free mingling and conversations in Chinese.

In addition to our regular meetups, we also organize occasional activities such as KTV, outdoor outings, and group dinners.

Our main focus is fostering friendship, having fun, and gaining a deeper understanding of different cultures.

The only cost to attend the event is the purchase of one drink or snack from the café counter.
