Introduction:

Why is it important to improve your pronunciation and expressions?

Your speaking is often the first impression people have of you, and it's important to make it a good one. Even the best words can sound bad because of a poor accent, and outdated expressions can make you seem out of touch. If you want to communicate confidently with foreign colleagues, friends, or classmates, or make your spoken language a core competency for your job, then this workshop is for you! Christina will share her authentic teaching and living experience in New York City, helping you find your potential for English speaking from a new perspective.

What will you gain from the workshop?

During this 8-hour workshop, you'll practice both consonant and vowel sounds, learn how to stress the right syllable in a word, and make your voice go up and down in a natural-sounding melody. You'll also learn authentic American expressions for everyday life scenarios such as greetings, parties, shopping, and traveling. Plus, you'll discover effective and quick ways to practice pronunciation and learn English so you can speak confidently and become the focus of your audience.

Who is your instructor?

Christina is a curriculum and teaching graduate from Columbia University with a bilingual extension. She has worked as a teacher for 9 years in public and private schools in New York and Wall Street English in Beijing, helping hundreds of students find their own way of learning English and realizing their dreams. With Christina's perfect American accent, she will guide you towards your goal of speaking fluent English.

Session 1: Vowel sounds + greetings
Session 2: Consonant sounds + party expressions
Session 3: Word stress and intonation + shopping expressions
Session 4: Connected speech + travel expressions

Please sign up in advance or pay an extra ¥30 for venue fees. The event will be cancelled if the number of participants is less than 1/3 of the expected number.
