Join us for an exciting evening of linguistic and cultural exchange at MADISON PUB, conveniently located behind Spadina Station!

While we appreciate the generous complimentary space provided by the venue, it’s essential to support them through purchases rather than relying solely on complimentary water. Every donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated. We’re also bringing back nametags, so feel free to write your name, the languages you speak, and those you wish to learn or improve upon.

EVENT OVERVIEW

Toronto is a vibrant melting pot of cultures. Embrace this diversity with TorontoBabel! Unlike many language-focused groups, we offer a unique opportunity to practice multiple languages. At our gatherings, you’ll find native speakers of French, Spanish, English, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, German, Polish, Italian, Cantonese, Turkish, Mandarin, Russian, Hindi, Arabic, Farsi, and many more. Whether you’re a beginner or a fluent speaker, everyone is welcome!

HOW IT WORKS

TorontoBabel is designed as a collaborative language exchange. You’ll have the chance to teach others your native language while they help you learn theirs. We typically organize groups focused on various languages, and we’ll guide you to the appropriate gathering. If you prefer to seek out native speakers of your favorite language independently, that’s perfectly fine too!

If you’re attending a TorontoBabel event for the first time, please introduce yourself to our wonderful Event Organizers, FARINAZ and TERRY. They will assist you in finding native speakers of the languages you’re interested in and can introduce you to others looking to learn your language.
