• Over the past 10 years, we have hosted meetups in more than 30 cities worldwide, with over 50 meetups per month. Thousands of social connections, friendships, and relationships have been formed. We understand our members' needs.
• We always reserve a comfortable and safe space for our groups.
• Our events generally have a good gender balance (though not perfect).
• We charge a minimal event cost for a couple of reasons. Our hosts deserve compensation for their time and effort, and safety is our priority. Selling tickets allows us to keep a record of attendees through online payments, promoting better behavior and accountability. We believe that free events often lead to lack of commitment and poor behavior. Our tickets help us improve safety, estimate numbers accurately, maintain a better gender mix, and encourage more responsible behavior.
• Many free events primarily serve the organizers' interests (and their close friends), who use them to market products or services or gain easy access to members of the opposite gender. In most cases, organizers of free events have undisclosed and questionable motivations. We, on the other hand, organize events solely to benefit our members and cover our costs.
