At New To Melbourne, you’ll experience a welcoming atmosphere, making it easy for newcomers to feel at home. Bring a friend along and get ready for an enjoyable evening of language exchange! Our sessions are free and take place every Wednesday night, featuring affordable food and drinks if you arrive at 6 PM for dinner. 🍻🍟

Upon arrival, you’ll receive a badge indicating your native language and the languages you wish to learn. Wear it with your native language on the right and the languages you are learning on the left. Then, mingle and start exchanging languages!
What to bring: A pen, paper, and your cheerful spirit!

We’re on the lookout for friendly volunteers eager to assist and welcome newcomers. In return, enjoy complimentary drinks and food (think pizza wedges!) along with a supportive team of fellow volunteers. If it’s your first time, don’t hesitate to apply—many of our volunteers are new faces too!
