At New To Melbourne, you'll immediately feel the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our members are friendly and eager to help newcomers, so feel free to bring a friend and dive into some engaging language practice! :-)

Our language exchange is completely free and takes place every Wednesday evening. Arrive by 6 PM for affordable food and drinks if you’re looking to grab a bite! 😉🍻🍟

===== EVENT FORMAT =====

Upon arrival, you will receive a name badge indicating your native language and the languages you wish to learn. Pin it to your chest with your native language displayed on the right and the languages you’re learning on the left. Then, mingle and start exchanging languages!

What to bring: A pen, some paper, and your good vibes!

Age Requirement: 18+

We're on the lookout for friendly volunteers who are keen to assist and greet newcomers. In return, we offer complimentary drinks and food (like pizza wedges!) as well as a supportive team of fellow volunteers to connect with. New to the event? No worries—our volunteers are often first-timers as well! 😊
