Every week, more than 150 participants from over 23 different countries gather at our language exchange to enhance their language skills and forge new friendships over a refreshing drink.🍻

When you walk into New To Melbourne, you'll immediately feel the vibrant community spirit; our members are warm, supportive, and always ready to welcome newcomers. Bring along a friend and dive into some fun language practice! 😊

Our language exchange is complimentary and takes place every Wednesday evening, with affordable food and drinks available starting at 6 PM for those looking to grab a bite! 🍻🍟

===== EVENT FORMAT =====

Upon arrival, you'll receive a badge displaying your native language and the languages you wish to learn. Position it on your chest with your native language on the right and the languages you are learning on the left. Then, mingle and start exchanging languages!

What to bring: A pen, some paper, and your positive energy!

Age Requirement: 18+

===== VOLUNTEER FOR FREE BEER AND PIZZA! =====

We're seeking friendly volunteers who are eager to assist and welcome new members. In exchange, we offer free beverages and food (like pizza wedges!) and a chance to bond with a team of fellow volunteers. If this is your first time attending, feel free to apply—our volunteers are often new faces too! 😊

We are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for making new friends. To ensure everyone's comfort, we have a few rules:

1. This is *not* a dating group. Please refrain from asking for personal contact details. Use the meetup.com private chat for connections.

2. Advertising other groups, events, or tours during our gatherings is not allowed.

3. Promotion of products or services (including MLMs) is prohibited. Please do not solicit attendees for surveys.

4. Do not add members to WeChat or WhatsApp groups without consent.
