Join us weekly as over 150 individuals from 23+ countries gather at our language exchange to enhance their language skills and forge new friendships while enjoying a drink. 🍻

When you step into New To Melbourne, you'll immediately feel the warm community vibe; our members are welcoming and eager to assist newcomers. Bring a friend along and dive into some language fun with us! 😊

Our language exchange is absolutely free and takes place every Wednesday evening. Arrive by 6 PM to enjoy affordable food and drinks if you're feeling peckish! 🍻🍟

Upon arrival, you'll receive a badge indicating your native language and the languages you wish to learn. Wear it with your native language on your right and the languages you're learning on your left, then mingle and exchange language skills!

What to Bring: A pen, paper, and your positive energy!

We're on the lookout for friendly volunteers to assist and welcome newcomers. Enjoy free drinks and food (like pizza wedges) while connecting with other volunteers. If it’s your first time, feel free to apply—many of our volunteers are new faces too! 😊

We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. To maintain this atmosphere, we have a few guidelines:

1. This is *not* a dating event; please refrain from asking for personal contact information. Use the meetup.com private chat for connections.

2. No advertisements for other groups, events, or tours are allowed during or after our meetups.

3. Please do not promote products or services (including MLM or mentorship). Surveys are also off-limits.

4. Avoid adding attendees to WeChat or WhatsApp groups without consent.
