Join over 250 language enthusiasts from 23+ countries every week at our language exchange event to practice a new language and expand your social circle while enjoying a friendly atmosphere and refreshing drinks.🍻

Upon entering New To Melbourne, you'll be greeted by a welcoming and supportive community eager to help you practice languages and make new friends. Bring a friend and join us for an enriching language experience :-)

Our language exchange sessions are held every Wednesday night, offering affordable food & drinks for early birds arriving at 6pm seeking a bite to eat.🍻🍟

What is a Language Exchange?

Our language swap offers a casual setting to meet new friends, practice different languages, and enjoy a drink together. Experience it firsthand by joining us at one of our events.

Come by at 6pm to engage in language practice while groups are being formed.

Upon arrival, receive a badge indicating your native language and the languages you are interested in learning. Place the badges accordingly and start conversing with fellow language enthusiasts!

Don't forget to bring a pen, paper, and positive vibes!

We are seeking volunteers to assist in welcoming newcomers to the group. Volunteers enjoy complimentary beverages, food, and the company of other friendly volunteers. If you're new and interested in volunteering, you are welcome to apply - many of our volunteers are first-timers too :-)

We maintain a safe and friendly environment for all attendees. To ensure everyone's comfort, we have established the following rules:

1. This is *not* a dating platform; please refrain from asking for personal contact information. Utilize the meetup.com private chat for communication.
