Join us for our exciting language exchange event where language enthusiasts from over 23 countries gather each week to practice a new language and make new friends while enjoying a refreshing beer.🍻

When you come to New To Melbourne, you'll immediately feel the warm and welcoming community atmosphere. Our group members are friendly, helpful, and always happy to welcome new faces. Bring a friend along and join us for a fantastic language practice session :-)

Our language exchange event is absolutely free and takes place every Tuesday night. If you arrive at 6pm, you can grab some dinner and enjoy affordable food and drinks while engaging in language practice. Cheers!🍻🍟

What is a language exchange?
If you're new to our group, a language exchange is an opportunity to make new friends and learn a new language while enjoying a drink. The best way to understand how it works is to join us for an evening - it's much easier to experience than to explain.

Arrive at 6pm to participate in the language practice session while groups are still forming.

===== EVENT FORMAT =====
Upon arrival, you will receive a badge displaying your native language and the languages you're interested in learning. Place the badge on your chest with your native language on the right and the languages you're learning on the left. Then, go ahead and meet new people to exchange languages!

Things to bring: Pen and Paper and positive vibes!

We prioritize creating a safe and friendly environment for everyone to make new friends. To ensure the well-being of our group members, we have established a few rules:

1. This is *not* a dating group, so please refrain from asking for personal contact information. If you wish to get in touch with someone, please use the meetup.com private chat.
2. Avoid promoting other groups, events, or tours on this page or to fellow attendees during or after the events.
3. Please refrain from advertising products and services, such as MLM or mentorship programs. Also, avoid asking our attendees to complete surveys.
4. Do not add people to WeChat or WhatsApp groups without their consent.
