Join us every Tuesday evening for an exciting language exchange event where over 250 language enthusiasts from 23+ countries gather to practice a new language and make new friends, all while enjoying a refreshing beer.🍻

When you attend New To Melbourne's language exchange, you'll immediately feel the warm and welcoming community atmosphere. Our group members are friendly, helpful, and always eager to embrace new participants. We encourage you to bring a friend and join us for a fun-filled language practice session :-)

Our language exchange event is completely free and takes place every Tuesday night. If you arrive at 6pm, you can also enjoy affordable food and drinks before the event starts. It's the perfect opportunity to grab a delicious dinner and socialize.🍻🍟

What is a language exchange?
If you're new to our group, a language exchange is a delightful way to make new friends and learn a new language while enjoying a drink. To truly understand the experience, it's best to attend one of our events. It's much easier to experience it firsthand than to explain it.

Arrive at 6pm to engage in language practice while groups are still forming.

===== EVENT FORMAT =====
Upon arrival, you will receive a badge indicating your native language and the languages you are interested in learning. Place the badge on your chest with your native language on the right and the languages you are learning on the left. Then, mingle with others and engage in language exchanges!

What to bring: Pen and Paper and a positive attitude!

We prioritize creating a safe and friendly environment where people can comfortably make new friends. To ensure the well-being of our group members, we have established several rules:

1. This is *not* a dating group, so please refrain from asking for personal contact information. If you'd like to connect with someone, please use the private chat feature on meetup.com.
2. Avoid promoting other groups, events, or tours on this page or to the attendees of our events.
