Join our FREE Language Exchange Event and make new friends while practicing your English, French, Japanese, and Hindi skills! Don't forget to RSVP as 'going' and read our group rules before attending.

Our language exchange event brings together more than 250 people from 23+ countries every week! It's an excellent opportunity to improve your language skills, have fun, and meet new people over a beer.🍻

At New To Melbourne, we pride ourselves on creating a friendly and welcoming community atmosphere. Whether you want to learn a new language or teach one, come along, and bring a friend to join us for some language practice and fun!👫

Our language exchange event is completely FREE and runs every Tuesday night. You can also enjoy some cheap food & drinks if you arrive at 6 pm and want some dinner.🍔🍟

What is a Language Exchange?
A language exchange is where you can make new friends and learn a new language over a drink! To understand how it works, it's best to come along one night and experience it yourself.

Arrive at 6 pm for language practice while groups are still forming. Bring a pen, paper, and good vibes! Age Group: 18+

===== EVENT FORMAT =====
When you arrive, you'll receive a badge with your native language and the languages you would like to learn. Place them on your chest with your native language on the right and other languages you are learning on the left. Then go meet people and exchange languages!

===== GROUP RULES =====
To protect our group members and ensure everyone has a great time, we have several rules in place, including:

1. This is *not* a dating group, please do not ask for people's numbers / socials.
2. Please do not advertise other groups / events / tours on this page or to this group's attendees during / after events.
3. Please do not advertise products and services (e.g. MLM / mentorship). Please do not ask our attendees to complete surveys.
4. Please do not add people to WeChat / WhatsApp groups.

By joining our group or attending our events, you agree to these rules. If you attend an event and someone is breaking these rules, you can speak to the host if you wish.
