🏰✨🍻 LONDON: Known as a "World City", London invites you on an extraordinary journey through history, reflecting a mosaic of influences from people around the globe. Founded 2000 years ago by the Romans, London is today a multicultural metropolis of global influence, with countless neighborhoods each carrying its own unique atmosphere.

A quick tour of London's neighborhoods:

• The City: The historical heart of the city, centered around the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.

• Kensington & Chelsea: Home to museums, parks, and elegant Victorian houses. These are neighborhoods of the British bourgeoisie, perfect for a leisurely stroll.

• West-End: Soho, Covent Garden, and Leicester Square form the pulsating center of the capital.

• Soho: A vibrant district with an intense nightlife. You'll find trendy bars, theaters, concert halls, fashionable shopping outlets, vintage shops, record stores, and more.

• Oxford Street - Hyde Park: Ideal for shopping.

• Camden Town: Rock and "punk" tourism: comic books, t-shirts, and live music bars.

Must-see attractions:

• Big Ben, the iconic grand bell at the top of the clock tower of the Palace of Westminster, the seat of the British parliament. The building faces the Thames, the famous river that runs through London.

• Westminster Abbey, one of the finest examples of medieval architecture in London and undoubtedly the city's most famous church; it welcomes over a million visitors from around the globe every year. Its history is closely tied to the Royal Family of England, making it the most prestigious church in London: sixteen royal weddings have been celebrated at Westminster Abbey, and thirty-five monarchs have been crowned there.

• Buckingham Palace, the official residence of British sovereigns and one of the most famous buildings worldwide. Don't miss the iconic Changing of the Guard ceremony at Buckingham Palace. The guards who take over the royal guard gather at St. James Palace and Wellington Barracks from 10 a.m., then they walk to Buckingham Palace, some on foot, others on horseback, passing by Birdcage Walk and Spur Road; some arrive via The Mall. The journey takes about five minutes and the group is accompanied by a military band.

•Tower of London, a fortress built when the Normans of William the Conqueror invaded London in 1066. Few places in the UK are as steeped in history, legends, and superstitions as the walls of this fortress. A contender for the city's flagship monument, this castle is not limited to its grandiose architecture. You can also admire a diamond as large as a fist, enjoy a free tour led by the Yeoman Warders (or beefeaters), these guides proudly belted in their Tudor uniforms, and shiver as you listen to the bloody history of this place.

•Tower Bridge

•London Eye

•Millennium Bridge & St. Paul’s Cathedral

•National museums, whose permanent collections are free for visitors.

  • - The National Gallery, a pre-1900 pictorial art museum, with one of the most significant and remarkable collections in the world.
  • - The British Museum, retraces the history and culture of mankind. It is the oldest museum in the world. Over seven million objects are featured in its collections, coming from all continents and distributed in permanent exhibitions based on geographical and historical criteria.
  • - The Natural History Museum for dinosaur skeletons and gem collections
  • - The Science Museum for an interactive, fun, and entertaining dive into the scientific advancements of the past centuries
  • - Access to the permanent collections of Tate Britain (British art since the 16th century) and Tate Modern (20th-century painters and artists) is also free.

•Take a picture of Piccadilly Circus in front of its famous illuminated billboards.

•Discover the historic district of Greenwich and jump on the prime meridian.

•Borough Market, one of the most flavorful markets in London. Ideal for grabbing a bite, having a coffee, and feeling the bustle of the city. Here is The Shard, London's highest point and the most incredible panoramic view. Also found here is London Bridge, until 1850 the only bridge in London.

🥳🎊 NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL 2023: This very popular carnival takes place each year in the Notting Hill neighborhood of London, during the weekend before the last Monday in August. This year, it will take place on Sunday 27 and Monday 28 August.

🍁☀📷 STONEHENGE: Stonehenge is the most famous megalithic monument in Europe and the most architecturally sophisticated in the world. This sanctuary made up of circles of standing stones arranged in an order with astronomical meanings that are still poorly explained, has stood for 5,000 years in the Salisbury plain. An irreplaceable witness to prehistory, this enigmatic prehistoric site has fascinated archaeologists, astronomers, and visitors for countless years.

🏰☀🔝 OXFORD: One of the most famous cities in Europe due to its prestigious university, the oldest in the country, and its incredible architecture, Oxford is a cultural gem, a must-visit for those interested in English history and culture! No city in the UK better embodies the splendor, tradition, and British excellence than Oxford. Known globally for its university, the epitome of intellectual excellence, a scholastic Holy Grail. Oxford is also recognized as a source of inspiration for filmmakers and writers worldwide due to its prestigious libraries and uniquely beautiful architectural scenery. With its bucolic setting (gardens, river, and canals) and gothic architecture, Oxford was one of the Harry Potter filming locations in the UK. The gothic architecture is another reason to visit Oxford. While other British cities were ravaged by German bombs and/or architects of the '60s, Oxford is a time capsule. You have an appointment with the Middle Ages in a softer, more pleasant, and cleaner version. Gone are the cold corridors, the dark alleys, and the smells of horse dung. The colleges, their chapels, refectories, libraries are absolutely wonderful. There are few cities in the world with so much splendor per square kilometer.

Must-sees: The University of Oxford comprises a vast collection of faculties and colleges (41 in total) throughout the city, including: •Christ Church College & Cathedral, the most well-known and one of the most beautiful university colleges, as well as the oldest, built in medieval times. It's one of the most imposing colleges in Oxford and includes a cathedral, a library, numerous other buildings and invites you to walk in the gardens, along the River Cherwell and the canals, as well as the botanical gardens •Balliol College, one of the oldest and most spectacular in Oxford.

•University College, New College...

•Botanic Gardens, the oldest botanical garden in England! Created from 1621, this garden has more than 5,000 different outdoor and greenhouse plants.

•Bridge of Sighs, a covered walkway between two university buildings from the early 20th century and one of the most photographed spots of Hertford College

•University Parks, along with Christ Church Meadow, is one of Oxford's lungs. This park of about 30 hectares is bordered by the Cherwell. •Cornmarket Street, a shopping street where street musicians and artists gather

•The covered market, in a magnificent 17th-century building. The stands seem like they come from another time. You can find souvenirs, world culinary specialties, and local products.

•Ashmolean Museum, the oldest museum in the UK. It showcases the history of science. Thanks to its collections and antiquities, it has become the largest museum in the city and one of the most respected in the world.

•The Bodleian Library, an impressive building with more than 9 million volumes and over 170 kilometers of shelves. It is also a favorite spot for movie directors. It appears in Nicholas Hytner's film "The Madness of King George" and, more recently, in the first two Harry Potter saga films

•Radcliff Camera, the former library that now serves as a reading room •Sheldonian Theatre, offering superb views of the city from its dome.

•St. Mary the Virgin Church and its tower also offer good panoramic views of the city. Its interior hides details, paintings, glasswork… •Oxford Castle & Prison, a medieval Norman castle

•St. Michael at the Northgate, the oldest monument in Oxford

Come and enjoy 4 days of discovery in one of Europe's most famous cultural centers. Walks, parties, culture, friendly atmosphere, ... Come and make new discoveries and encounters ツ
