1 Yanuary - "New Year Celebration" - "Новый год" or "Noviy god" in transcription. It's the most popurary russian celebration.

7 Yanuary - "Christmas" - "Рождество" or "Rojdestvo". Christmas isn't so populares in Russia as in catholic world, but year after year celebrates wideler.
