Definite Article:

Unlike English, which has only one definite article “the", Georgian has no articles at all and the noun itself has no gender:

wigni (the book)

saxli (the house)

wignebi (the books)

saxlebi (the houses)

Indefinite Article

No indefinite article in Georgian

In order to express indefiniteness in Georgian, it takes the word : ramdenime

Which shows several numbers and indefinite charachter of quantity

  • wigni (a book)
  • saxli (a house)
  • ramdenime wigni (some books)
  • ramdenime saxli (some houses)

Example: Cemi wignebi megobris saxlSia.
